Jan 23, 2013 · Allison Transmission P0700 Code Help. So this has happened to me a couple of times now. I go to start my truck with the command start and it starts for a minute then shuts down. It pops up the code P0700. Internal codes are Shift Solenoid codes. This only happens when its really cold out. The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory.
