This usually happens with the HD DLC as it changes the resolution from 0,5k to 1k for the specular map. When you install e.g. a makeup mod that uses 1k textures, you will get a brown face when applying something from this mod.

My character body becomes distorted when I remove the clothes in LooksMenu. I have run into this issue a good couple of times, through my various FO4 installations.
